Mentors

Mentors at NTUitive are experienced individuals with strong professional backgrounds and industry wide networks. They are chosen on the basis of their considerable depth and range of experience in advising a business, an aptitude for coaching, good interpersonal skills and a strong desire and commitment to help young and budding entrepreneurs, and passion for starting and growing sustainable businesses. Mentors work with start-ups on the basis of their familiarity with areas of the start-ups’ business. All Mentors adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and confidentiality undertaking.

  • Michel Birnbaum

    Michel’s career spans operational, advisory and investments internationally. He has managed close to 30 IPOs, follow-on debt/equity financings as well as M&A and Private Placement transactions and has held Board positions with a number of Technology & Media companies in US, Europe & Asia.

  • Edward Tay

    Edward is a practicing lawyer specialising in corporate law and technology transfer. He has more than 15 years of experience advising founders of university spin-offs and other technology start-up companies.

  • Jagjit Singh

    Jagjit is an experienced business leader with strong strategic skills, expertise in a wide range of industries, and deep knowledge of the Asia Pacific region.

  • T.S. Kee

    Kee is a freelance IT and Telecom consultant specialising in the mobile industry. He has worked for both the government and several MNCs, and provided consultancy services for various projects involving emerging mobile, internet and enterprise enabling technologies and platforms.

  • Kenneth Tsang

    Kenneth, former CEO of Universal McCann, is a specialist in Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications. Kenneth is now actively engaged in nurturing start-ups and budding entrepreneurs and advising them on market and product positioning, target communication and advertisement.

  • Lam Kwok Yan

    A specialist in network security and telecoms, Kwok Yan is one of the earliest academics to spin-off from the University, forming Privylink Pte Ltd in 1977.

  • Ong Sang Bin

    Sang Bin specialises in technology start-ups and investment advisory, providing advice to start-ups on business strategy, technology sourcing and corporate development, sharing his extensive experience in business operations and venture capital financing.

  • Rahul Harkawat

    A US based entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in creating new start-up businesses especially in the ICT vertical, Rahul is proficient in business strategy, new product positioning and building teams around new products. He has profitably-built start-ups in Information and Communication Technology business in the US and internationally.
