Using enterprise wifi network to help businesses understand how people move through their spaces
Our technology product utilizes the enterprise WiFi networks of businesses to monitor the location of WiFi-based devices such as cell-phones and laptops. The device(s) is a proxy for the person in most cases. Thus tracking the WiFi device such as a cellphone provides an insight into the movement of the person carrying that device. The unique proposition of our product is that it is a pure software play. This enables it to work with most enterprise WiFi networks without infrastructure augmentation or modification. Furthermore, it enables us to work with a diverse set of WiFi device makers.
The tracked location of a device over a period of time in a clearly segmented indoor space helps answer many questions related to the usage of spaces, mobility patterns, hot and cold spots and other such queries.
