Dyson and NTU Innovation Challenge
NTUitive and Dyson jointly organised this challenge to increase warehouse storage capacity in existing spaces with intelligent seek and retrieve system. 19 teams (64 students) signed up and 5 teams were selected for the Finals. The finals was held on 10 April 2019.
The winners are as follow:
1st Prize
–$3,000
Team Quantum
Team Members: Toh Xuan Ming Arnold, Josiah Lim Guan Qun, Orion Dai Yuhui, & Lee You Xuan
Proposal: To address Dyson’s problem statement of increasing their existing storage capacity using intelligence, Quantum has developed a design-centric “shelf” that integrates efficient storage with smart systems. Their solution design resembles shell-like layers so that walking space is minimized without compromising accessibility.
2nd Prize –$2,000
Team JLTH Co.
Team Members: Chuah Teong Hong & Chan Jian Le
Proposal: To address Dyson’s problem statement of increasing their existing storage capacity using intelligence, JLTH Co.’s solution is a modular storage block design that allows for ease of stacking and customizable length.
